to appear on Christmas Comp. CD
A new Dipso
original Christmas tune, "Christmas Night
(Without You)", will appear on the Vandalay
Records Christmas Compilation CD, Hi-Fi
Chrsitmas Party Vol. 2. Proceeds from
the sale of the CD will go to the Blood Center in
Milwaukee,WI. The CD will be released in time
for Christmas 2006. Order

@ NJPOP FEST 10/7/06
The Dipsos are
scheduled to play at 11:00 pm at the first Pop NJ
Pop Fest. This cool event featuring NJ
power-pop bands is in Pleasantville, NJ (minutes
from Atlantic City) at Pistol Pete's Saloon.

Show Friday 7/14 in Medford, NJ at the Flying
W Airport - we'll be playing all night starting
around 9:30 - this is well worth the price of
admission (no cover/free show!), plus we play all

High School Reunion/80s Party show at the
Saint in Asbury Park, NJ. Also

Low Flying Jets. Expect lots of classic
new-wave 80s hits from all the bands . |

Dipso bass player, Doug Keith, has been pursuing
fame and fortune in the world of independent
film. He's shot two videos for the
Dipsomaniacs ("Tina's Good at Everything"
and "Sunshine Through") and
recently wrote and directed a hilarious short film
called The Intern which features the
Dipso tune "Thank You". The

Planet College Radio Promotion
The
Dipsomaniacs have teamed up with AAM
(Advanced Alternative Media) on a college
radio campaign to promote Whatever Planet.
AAM, the premier and highly respected college radio
promotion company, will be marketing the Dipsos new
album nationwide this month.

Dipsomaniacs Recording New CD
The Dipsomaniacs
have been holed up at FDR studios focusing their refined
powers of melody, rhythm, and harmony while recording 17
killer new songs slated for their next CD.
Furthermore, the band has compiled 10
rarities/live/unreleased tracks to appear on a
free/bonus CD to be released simultaneously with the new
album. Look for it all to happen by the summer of
2005. More info coming soon. |

The
Dipsos will be contributing a song to a CD
honoring those great films of the 1980s. Titled, High
School Reunion. the CD will be co-released by FDR
and an exciting new label - American

The Dipsomaniacs
contributed a previously unreleased tune, "Syd
Barrett", to the Sparklefest 2004 Sampler
CD. This CD is
available FREE during the 3-day Raleigh, NC pop

(8/11/04) Dipsomaniacs
Hiatus - the band will be spending August and
September working on two new CD projects. 1.
A collections of rarities, covers, live stuff, and a few new
tracks, that will be released this winter (we're mixing and
compiling now). 2. A new full length CD
is in the works for a spring 2005 release (we're writing and
recording now!). Look for us to return to our
ongoing dive-bar tour in October.

MTV2 will be airing Little Steven's Underground Garage
A-Go-Go - a one-hour documentary on the Irving
Plaza show the Dipsomaniacs played at in July.
Apparently the band has been appearing in some of the
commercials promoting the show, so there may be some
interview and performance clips of the Dipsomaniacs - to
check out the other scheduled viewing times go to MTV2 - here.

8/3/04 - Dipsomaniacs'
song, "Rubber Soul" (from 2001 CD The
Life You're Faking) was released this month on
compilation CD - Hit the Hay Vol. 7 from Swedish roots
rock label, Sound Asleep Records. Also
appearing on the excellent collection are tracks from
John Wesley Harding, Richard Barone, Nixon's Head, Jesse
Valenzuela, the Swivel Chairs, and many more. More info

Muck and
the Mires from RI and the Blackouts from Chicago,
IL took home first place in the Little Steven Underground
Garage contest. The Dipsos thank Little Steven Van
Zandt and Renegade Nation for having us along for the
ride. Tim Zatzariny from the Courier Post was
with the band for most of the night - read his account of
the show (from the 7/25/04 edition of the Camden, NJ paper) here.
